Rogue Artisan — East Vancouver, BC

Rogue Artisan is run by Gordon Mielke out of a one-person shop in East Vancouver. There's no team, no factory, and nothing sent out to a third party — every wallet, keychain, bag, and custom piece that ships from here is cut, stitched, and stamped by the same set of hands, start to finish.

What "custom" actually means here

Nothing is made ahead of time and put on a shelf. Every commission starts as a conversation about what you actually need — the leather, the color, the stitch pattern, the dimensions — and gets built to that spec. Once a piece ships, that exact combination doesn't get repeated for someone else.

Materials

Work is done mainly in full-grain veg-tan and Horween Chromexcel leather — chosen because they hold a stamp cleanly and age into something better instead of just wearing out. Each hide is checked by hand before it's cut.

The shop is based in East Vancouver, BC. Local pickup is available; shipping elsewhere in Canada can be arranged on request — see the shipping policy for details.
